I'M BACK! + Estee Lauder Double Wear Brush-on Glow [Review]As the title says it all, IM BACK!
Sorry for the looooong hiatus and empty-ness on this little blog of mine, I know, I know..here comes the excuses :
1. Super busy with moving to UK
2. Lots of stuff to pack
5. -insert random reason-
So there it is! 5 totally "valid" -cough- reasons why I've been delaying posts and been on a loooong blog hiatus.
But since now that I'm determined to find something to do after finishing work (instead of playing games..that is), I might as well fuel my passion for skincare and everything beauty here, eh?
So here's a bonus review on the newly released Estee Lauder product.
[Review] Estee Lauder: Double Wear Brush-on Glow highlighter
Now this my friends, is the YSL Touche-Eclat dupe. The question is, is it any better? or should y'all just stick to the YSL one instead (mind you, the price of both are almost alike anyways).
Today, I'll only be reviewing the Estee Lauder one, I'm afraid. So let's get started.
Firstly, I'd like to state that the EL one is a twist-style pen - which means that you twist the upper part of the pen for the liquid-ish to come out. The packaging of this pen-style highlighter is gold. Now I have to say that it's posh and pretty when you first open it but...
The finish is quite matte but not a flat-matte, if you get what I mean. It has a soft luminous glow to it. It's quite sheer too.
Blended out it's looks kinda orange/peachy on my arm because the colour of my arms are not the same colour as my face. [That's why never match foundation that you use on your face to your hands/arm- Big Mistake people!].
I'm using this in the shade 2W Light Medium (Warm). I recommend getting this in a shade lighter than your skin tone to make the highlight more prominent.
Bridge of nose : Draw a line or two from the upmost nose bridge to the half of your nose bridge and not straight down to the base nose area, I find it highlights the "bigness" of the base of the nose if I do that, but if that's the effect you're going for, go for it!
Cupid's bow: Which is also known as the pointy shape above your lips. Highlighting here makes it look fuller.- Your lips that is. Or you can draw/line the outer lines of your upper lip to make it pop.
One more thing to note is that the finish is bait drying and it emphasises some fine lines around the eyes as well - but nothing a bit of powdering can't solve.
The EL Brush-on Glow BB is sold for £23.50 @ either Estee Lauder's website or at their stand-up counters.
