Product Empties #1Whenever a product hoarder like me uses up something, I get all giggly inside. Hit pan on that blush? CELEBRATION.
It's mostly skin-care empties here, but let's start.
1. Clinique Even Better Essence Lotion (combi/oily)
One of my staples, I already have a 200ml backup in the drawer. Great toner for its intended skin-types and also as a 'boost' to your anyone's regime. I use this as a toner or after a toner; before exfoliating acids/serums.
2. Clinique Custom Serum
I quite like this serum for it's silicon-ish texture. Used this morning and night before moisturiser. Also love using this with my Custom Cover Drops from Cover Fx . Will I repurchase? Of course, already have a 100ml bottle of this I got from duty-free. Seriously love duty-free sizes, plus more value for money.
3. Lab Series Max LS Overnight Renewal Serum
Love at first use. It's lightweight, thus amazing for anyone with combo-oily skin and my skin seems to give a healthy 'glow' the next day after using this. 2-3 pumps is more than enough, night and day. I love to slather my face with this. It also has good slip in terms of consistency and texture.
Repurchase? Yes. Sad that it only comes in 30ml though, hope they'll release a large-sized version of this serum.
4. Lab Series Max LS Skin Recharging Water Lotion
"Water-Lotion" is such an oxymoronic term. We all know (well at least I do) that lotions are mostly creamy/gel-textured and my first thought was :" how can a lotion be watery". But nevertheless, this toner is kind of a meh for me. It's good but there's better toner out there.
Repurchase? I have another bottle of this in my backup stash. This is because I used to love this before I discovered the Clinique essence so I bought another bottle earlier haha.
5. Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist
It lives in my sling bag, bedside table and airplane carry-on bag for convenience so that I could spritz myself whenever my skin feels dehydrated. It smells great and gives skin moisture. Unlike those "thermal water" sprays that does nothing for my skin. I brought the travel-size bottle home because the full-size is a flipping glass-spray bottle and imagine that either in your carry-on or luggage. Just.. I can't even. Knowing how clumsy I am.
Repurchase? No because it costs a fortune for a spritz toner. I'm sorry Omorovicza but £46 pounds for a 100ml face mist is a bit on the splurge category that I am not willing to make yet. But who knows if I'll change my mind once I finish my full-size face mist...
6. Shiseido Ibuki Gentle Cleanser
A cleanser that doesn't hold true to its name. Using this cleanser causes that 'squeaky' feeling that I hate and feel the need to apply something hydrating onto my face immediately.
How did I finish this cleanser? I didn't. I tried to only use this for 'deep-cleanse' but you only need so little and I was not about to let it go to waste since I paid full-price for this cleanser. What did I do? I used it on my hands, body, feet, even used it for stains.
Some people may not mind the feeling of 'squeaky'-ness so I recommend you squeeze a tiny (emphasised on the tiny) bit onto your palm and lather it (it lathers a lot) before applying it to your face. I find it less drying that way.
Repurchase? No. There's another cleanser called 'purifying cleanser' in the Ibuki range and who knows how that'll be considering this "gentle" cleanser is already drying on my skin.
